"The Do's And Don'ts Of Lingerie!"

Nobody wants to be a DON'T! I’m sure you can think of instances in which you have seen another female and she seemed to have it all together…her clothes fit just perfect and went together so well. And then there is the flip side…black thong under white pants or panty lines so visible it leaves little to the imagination. How many times will we pick up a copy of Glamour Magazine and see the poor souls with the black rectangle across their eyes…as if that will keep people from knowing who you are. To make sure you never end up on the “don’t” section, follow these simple, basic lingerie rules. you can order the items for them and have them sent directly to the guest or to you for an additional get together when they come in. Some lingerie stores will give party discounts for one large order so check with the store manager to see if they are willing to work out a deal with you. This can work out as an added benefit for all the guests.

  The Don’ts

• NEVER wear black garments under white clothes…unless of course someone has dared you to make the top of the don’t list.
• Wear pieces that are very tight, sheer, and white as outerwear.
• Wear thick seamed bra or panty with close fitting garments.
• Go without a bra or wear a garment that doesn’t have sewn in support if you are a “C” cup or greater.
• Squeeze into a lingerie outfit just because you like it, it was on sale, or it was the only size left.
• Wear sizes that are too large for you just because you are curvy.
• Omit shapewear due to pride.
• Buy only inexpensive lingerie. Some of the best quality and comfortable pieces may cost a bit more but are well worth it.

 
   The Dos 

• Have at least two each of bras and panties in a nude color.
• Match the color of your lingerie as closely as possible to your outfit.
• Chose conservative, sexy, and lacy items that are appropriate for outerwear or allow bits of lace to peak over or around your garments (we’re not talking the triangle top to your thong peeking out the top of your jeans).
• Choose the correct bra to go under a tank top, halter top, or strapless top.
• When wearing a spaghetti strapped top or dress, wear a bra with straps that match the garment.
• Wear nipple covers when wearing thin shirts without a bra.
• Go for something in a pretty print or color that is sexy.
• Wear shapewear if needed under your clothes.
• Wear ultrasheer pantyhose that match your skin tone for a nude look.
• Wear lingerie even if no one else will see it.

 
Ending up on the lingerie don’t list may not be the worst thing that can happen, I’m sure we can think of much worse. However, having said that, why even risk it. It is so simple to avoid that you can focus on much more important agendas!
